Effortless transition from medieval Delhi to describing temple motifs in Karnataka!

I thought Kempe Gowda was just some shopping destination in Bangalore. The history is quite rich from the Vijaynagar times and earlier Hoysalas to Tipu and the British. The reliefs remind me of my favourite fort in Karnataka - Chitradurg Fort. If you get a long weekend, that is where you should head to. Of course Hampi and beyond beckons too.

As always, deeply and methodically researched with present flavours.

Keep Travelling!

Best Wishes

Nirdeshjustrippingghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04928869199299288164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4420068855113295028.post-74573609725109573972015-01-25T13:36:54.188+05:302015-01-25T13:36:54.188+05:30Thanks for sharing such a well researched and beau...Thanks for sharing such a well researched and beautifully photographed post.I have been living in Bangalore for almost ten years and i have still not visited this fort. Thanks for opening my eyes.
It was indeed ironical that you entered Bagalore Fort via Delhi Gate!! But now since you are bangalored, hopefully you will have a good time. Looking forward to your posts..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
